On November 11, 2020, the first webinar “Modern tools and teaching technologies, the possibility of their use in educational institutions” took place and opened a series of educational events aimed at teachers of Russian schools abroad.
The online event was attended by over 100 participants from different countries of the CIS and the world who are interested in improving their knowledge in the field of using digital technologies.
The audience was greeted by Olga AleksandrovnaFilonova, Head of the Department for Implementation of Projects in the Sphere of Education and Science of Rossotrudnichestvo, and Elena Valentinovna Smirnova, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks at the Moscow State Technical University. The speakers of the first webinar are recognized experts in the digital economy from leading Russian universities. The main topics of discussion are the possibilities of modern online education, accessible platforms for learning, barriers that both teachers and students face, current practices for effectively conducting distance learning.
The experts gave many examples from personal experience, which allowed the participants to gain new knowledge in such interesting areas as the use of modern technologies of virtual and augmented reality in education, the use of gamification technologies in educational institutions and even the analysis of data from the Large Hadron Collider.
